On the afternoon of May 6th, Chinese Academy of Sciences Academician and Professor at Tsinghua University, Xie Daoxin, was invited to Guangxi University's State Key Laboratory for Conservation and Utilization of Subtropical Agro-bioresources for academic exchange.

Academician Xie Daoxin attentively listened to the participants' speeches and began by discussing the innovation of projects. He shared his own experiences and insights on balancing free exploration and organized scientific research. Additionally, he engaged in a discussion on hot scientific issues in the field of plant disease resistance and stress tolerance, as well as the application prospects of hormones. Academician Xie Daoxin expressed earnest expectations for young researchers, urging them to make long-term plans and choose research directions and projects that align with the major needs of the country. In addition, he also encouraged young researchers to showcase their work and actively present at academic conferences, strengthening their exchanges with fellow experts in the field.

During the exchange at Guangxi University, Academician Xie Daoxin also visited our Sugarcane Biotechnology Innovation Center and the large instrument public platform.
