On December 4th, Prof. Dr. Xia Guoen, Member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and Vice President of Guangxi University, attended the reception on the occasion of The 2023 National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand at the invitation of Royal Thai Consulate General in Nanning. He met with Ms. Benjamas Tanvetyanont, Consul General of Thailand in Nanning, and Ms. Noradee Tantramongkol, Deputy Consul General, and expressed wishes.

Dr. Xia congratulated on The National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand, and said that the number of Thai students in GXU has been increasing and the cooperation with Thai universities has been deepening, and he especially thanked the Thai Consulate General for the long-term support and assistance to GXU.

Benjamas Tanvetyanont expressed that she would continue to support the cultivation of international students in GXU and the cooperation between GXU and Thai universities and research institutions.

Dr. Xia also exchanged views with officials from the Consulates General of Vietnam, Laos, Myanmar, Malaysia, and Cambodia in Nanning and representatives from all walks of life, hoping to further strengthen cooperation with ASEAN universities, research institutions, and enterprises.
