Guangxi University Holds 2023 Summer Camp for Chinese and International Students

August 28, the 2023 GXU Summer Camp for Chinese and International Students kicked off in a grand ceremony at GXU’s Student Activity Center. Vice President Prof. Dr. Xiao Jianzhuang attended the event and delivered a speech.

Xiao emphasized that the 2023 GXU Summer Camp for Chinese and International Students is a tangible step towards implementing President Xi Jinping’s vision of building a closer China-ASEAN community with a shared future. Themed on “Cross-Cultural Exchange for Everlasting Friendship,” the camp aims to provide a platform for cultural exchange, mutual learning, and cooperative achievements among Chinese and international students and faculty. He extended a sincere invitation, welcoming more international students to GXU for learning and exchange. In subsequent speeches by both students and faculty, Chinese and international participants expressed their willingness to act as cultural ambassadors, promoting cross-cultural exchange, mutual learning, and building bridges of friendship.

This event brings together 150 students from Guangxi University, Chulalongkorn University, Suan Dusit University, Naresuan University, and Udon Thani Rajabhat University, among other universities. The camp, lasting for two weeks, is jointly organized by the Department of International Cooperation and Exchange and the International College. Chinese and foreign students will engage in activities such as classes, lectures, company visits, and field trips to learn Chinese and explore Chinese culture, gaining insights into China’s latest development.

Representatives from the Student Affairs Office, Student Union, Department of International Cooperation and Exchange , and International College attended the ceremony.
