Recently, China Engineering Education Accreditation Association (CEEAA) announced the results of 2022 engineering education accreditation, and three majors of Guangxi University, including Computer Science and Technology, Civil Engineering, and Light Chemical Engineering , gained the certifications valid for six years (from January 2023 to December 2028).

Engineering education accreditation is an internationally accepted engineering education quality assurance system, and it is also an important basis for realizing international mutual recognition of engineering education and engineer qualifications. In June 2016, China officially joined the most influential international agreement on mutual recognition of degrees in engineering education—Washington Agreement, the major of engineering being certified. The graduate degrees can be recognized by other organizations under the Washington Agreement.

In recent years, the major of Computer Science and Technology, Civil Engineering and Light Chemical Engineering of Guangxi University adhere to the core concept of OBE, namely, "student-centered, results-oriented and continuous improvement", vigorously promoted the reforms of personnel training mode, and created a corresponding curriculum system. In this way, GXU has improved the quality of personnel training with promising educating results.
