From October 28 to 29, the 2023 Annual Meeting of the Ancient Literary Sources Research Association and the Guangxi Multi-ethnic Integration of Literary Historical Seminar was hosted by the Chinese Literary Historical Society of Ancient Literature Historical Research Branch and jointly-organized by the School of Literature of GXU, Literature and Culture Research Center of GXU. Prof. Dr. Tian Lihui, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC and vice president of GXU, attended the opening ceremony.

Tian pointed out that Guangxi is not only one of the origins of the Maritime Silk Road but also the largest ethnic minority population in the country's provinces and regions with a rich literary history.This meeting will help to carry forward the excellent traditional culture of Guangxi, further promote the in-depth development of the study of Guangxi's literature and history, and better combine the basic principles of Marxism with the excellent traditional Chinese culture. It contributes to the continuation of the Chinese culture and the promotion of the creative transformation of the excellent traditional Chinese culture and innovative development.

In the academic exchange session of the conference, the participating experts conducted in-depth discussions on the history of ancient Chinese literature and the history of multi-ethnic integration literature in Guangxi, and put forward new ideas and concepts with foresight.

Nearly 90 experts and scholars from more than 50 universities and research institutes attended, including Peking University, Tsinghua University, Wuhan University, Lingnan University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences and Guangxi  Minzu University.
