Guangxi University Co-constructs the 2023 Guangxi Innovation Associations

Recently, the Department of Science and Technology of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced the “Notice of four Guangxis four departments including the Department of Science and Technology/Department of Organization of the Party Committee/Industry and Information Technology Department/Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs on the Announcement of the List of The 2023 Guangxi Innovation Associations”, which approves the formation of six autonomous region innovation associations, namely, “Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Green Chemical and New Material Innovation Association, “Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Manganese Industry Innovation Association, “Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region High-Efficiency Energy-Saving and Environmentally Friendly Power Equipment Innovation Association, “Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Pig Breeding and Intelligent Breeding Innovation Association”, “Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Quality Chicken and Modern Breeding Industry Innovation Association”, and “Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region Green Intelligent and Efficient Excavator Industry Innovation Association”. Guangxi University is the only university participating in the construction of all six new innovation associations. The approval of the six innovation associations not only reflects the university’s scientific research ability in serving Guangxi’s traditional characteristic advantageous industries, strategic emerging industries and future industries, but also provides a larger platform for the university to take root in Guangxi and integrate into the local development, to promote the in-depth fusion of industry, academia and research, and to solve the key technology problems.

It is reported that the innovation associations take aim of solving the key technology problems constraining industrial development, undertake major scientific and technological projects as the main task, and regard the market mechanism as a link under the rule of voluntarism and spontaneous organization. The innovation associations are led by the industry’s leading key enterprises with strong innovation resources integration capacity. The member units will divide the work and form a systematic and task-oriented innovation cooperation organization and community of interests with “core layer + close cooperation layer + general cooperation layer”, and with the participation of enterprises upstream and downstream in the industry chain, colleges and universities, and scientific research institutes.
