On September 14th, in celebration of the opening ceremony of the 20th China-ASEAN Expo and China-ASEAN Vocational Education Exhibition and Forum, 2023 China-ASEAN Students Gala Performance was held in Guangxi University(GXU). The event was hosted by the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region and organized by Guangxi University and Guangxi Arts University. Mr. Wu Jinchang, Deputy Director-General of the Education Department of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Prof. Dr. Xiao Jianzhuang, Vice President of GXU and representatives of ASEAN consular corps in Nanning attended the gala.

The event, themed “Heart to Heart, Hand in Hand”, brought together student representatives from various universities in Guangxi. Youth from both China and ASEAN countries shared the stage, presenting cultural characteristics of China and ASEAN countries to audience. The performance exemplified the energetic, united, and cooperative spirit shared by youth from home and abroad. The dance "Qin·Su" takes the Zhuang nationality’s Tianqin(a kind of Chinese ancient musical instrument) as its distinctive character, performed by students of the School of the Arts of GXU. The gala attracted nearly 1,000 audience, including delegates from ASEAN countries, representatives from local higher educational institutions, as well as students and teachers from universities in Guangxi.
