GXU Holds the 20th Anniversary Celebration of the MBA Program

On July 9, the School of Business held the 20th anniversary celebration of the MBA program.Professor Xia Guoen, Vice President of Guangxi University attended the celebration and made a speech. Mr.Wang Ping, Director of the Secretariat of the National MBA Education Steering Committee and Secretary General of the Business Administration Working Committee of the Chinese Society of Academic Degrees and Graduate Education attended the event as a specially invited representative.

In his speech, Xia Guoen reviewed the developing process of GXU’s MBA program from its establishment to its achievement today. He pointed out that relatively mature MBA education system of Guangxi University has cultivated nearly 8,000 MBA graduates now working in all walks of life across the country, making important contributions to promoting the economic development of Guangxi and the whole country. He encouraged all the faculty and staff of the School of Business to make continuous efforts and create new glory at this new starting point.

The event commended the outstanding MBA teachers, excellent MBA supervisors, MBA Special Contributors, and people who have worked hard for the MBA program in the past two decades and awarded them certificates.

The MBA education program of GXU was approved in 2001 and GXU became the fourth batch of MBA training institutions in China, and also the earliest university to train MBA students in Guangxi. In the past 20 years, the MBA education program has made great progress in teaching, research, and other aspects. In the past five years, MBA students have won 21 national awards. In 2018, the MBA program of GXU was awarded "B" in the first national professional degree evaluation; In 2022, the MBA education program of GXU won the honor of "University with Social-impact MBA Program" at the annual MBA Summit of CNR News.

More than 100 representatives, including people from the alumni office and Graduate School and faculty, students, and alumni of the School of Business attended the event.
